MIxxx Assignment 8: Scratching

The song I used for this assignment was " Die Young " by Ke$ha. While recording this I decided to turn back and forward the waveformoverview because i thought it would sound interesting.          

Mixxx Assignment7: Pitch Control Slider

The song I used for this assignment was " Perfect Two " by Auburn. What I did in the beginning was turn up the Pitch Control Slider all the way up to 6.57 then I was listening to it and thought it sounded plain so then I turned up the LFO and Depth and turned down the Delay. Then I just left it like that until the end because I thought it sounded good. What the Pitch Control Slider does is make the voice sound higher or lower and that's what i learned about this assignment.

Mixxx Assignment 6: FX

The song I used for this recording was "Kiss me" by Ed Sheeran. At first I begun by turning the LFO all the way up and the Depth and Delay all the way down. Then I turned down the LFO all the way down and the Depth and  Delay all the way up. Then I turned the the LFO all the way up again. Then I kept on turning the Depth up and down so I can make it sound interesting. Then I turned the LFO. Depth, and Delay all the way down. Then I repeated the same thing as I did before where I kept on turning up and down the Depth because I thought it would sound nice with the song. Finally I turned the LFO and Delay all the way up.

Mixxx Assignment 5 : EQ

The song i used for this assignment was " Girl on Fire " by Alicia Keys. What i did first was turn the High and Mid  EQ all the way down to make it sound in a low pitch. Then i turned up the High EQ all the way. Then i turned down the High and Low all the way down. Then i turned back on the Low EQ to make it sound different. Then i turned the Mid all the way down and the High all the way up. Then i finnally turn up all the EQ.

Mixxx Assignment 4:Balance and Volume

The title of the song I used in this assignment is called "So in Love with you" by Barack Obama ft Al Green . What I did in this assignment was use the volume and balance buttons to change from which headphone the song will travel to and how loud it can be. What I learned from this assignment was that you can change from which headphone it travel to  and how you can control the volume of the song.

Mixxx Assignment 3: Beatmatching

What I did here was record two songs playing at the same time. I went from one song to another so I can make it sound interesting. A DJ can use this by making the song sound better and make the original songs sound different then what they already do.

Mixxx Assignment 2: Loops

For the first recording the length of the loop was 4 and for the second one the length was 2. I decided to put the loops were they are at because the sounded good. The original name of the song is called Lego House by ed Sheeran.
